Daily Routine = Workaholic.

So I diagnose myself (yes, I am a doctor....in my mind) as a workaholic, seeing as I eat, sleep, and breathe life into forming this new chapter for AMSA at Seattle University.  I would say I've done a fair amount of work to this point in laying the foundation for this charter (mainly the constitution, bylaws, and general information that is needed), but I can't really continue forward until I get more members associated with this charter.  I need to get on top of getting officers to make the executive board, at the least, and begin constructing by the end of September, the very latest.  Perspective is what I need right now since I feel sort of like a dictator at this point, and don't care for all the power that comes with the executive president position; my main goal is just to help the future premeds, and act as a guiding tool for the executive officers since it is a really hard job to be the president.  I'll keep you updated, just volunteering now so I figured I might as well take a mental break from everything.

Less Stress in Life!!

Just put some intensive work into building the constitution and such, for the AMSA charter I have been doing.  Now, we decided on a blog instead of a website (Thank goodness!!), but I'll still try working on making a website for students, just to aid future generations in their quest to build this charter.  My stamina is fairly high, I would say, so I see myself leading this club for a while until I am succeeded by my successor upon graduation.  But that's all that's new for now, keep following for more updates!!

Troubles in the life, but good troubles.

Today I figured that the website is really difficult so I'll make the photoshop files, but I'll try see if I can get help from someone do the html and css since I don't have that much time anymore.  Just volunteered for the first time at Hope Heart, the office isn't too far away, and it was a relatively informational event.  I will more than likely help out a lot more frequently to learn more about the field I am interested in.  Random fact, I saw this article and laughed <http://www.latimes.com/news/science/sciencenow/la-heb-male-birth-control-pill-20120816,0,512749.story> If they do this, it is more than likely STDs will become more frequent, but I feel it is not that big of a deal, at least it will prevent pregnancy to those who want to do it so badly.  Off the side note, I am going to start the club's constitution tonight, and hopefully all will go well.  I'll try sending e-mails to my professors, and get all of that squared away.  I plan on learning more about AMSA for another week before presenting it to Becca for approval, but the only thing I can say for myself is 마이그씨화이팅!!

And hence began my long journey....

I thought that the past year was horrid, scheduling-wise.  Well I was completely wrong.  Today, upon the support of my friend Shelley, I plan on forming the first-ever AMSA chapter at Seattle University for pre-medical students!!  It is a lot of work I will tell you, first we need to designate officers, draw up a constitution with bylaws, get approval from the pre-health adviser, successfully have 5 people become national members, create/design a website, gain contacts from everywhere, and a lot more.  STRESS! But I am sure I will be fine, I tend to do way better under stress since I keep calm.  But please give me moral support as I journey along this extremely difficult road to begin this chapter for future generation pre-medical students attending Seattle University!

My potential schedule for next academic year.

So this is what my schedule looks like, for those of you who are following.  I haven't put in all of my schedules yet since they are slowly coming in, but I will be busy most of the time when school starts, so I apologize in advance if I don't contact you guys or if I forget!!  I'll try and set time aside to remember but more than likely I'll use that time to focus on my studies and such.  GAH, a month and 4 days before this schedule is implemented!!!

Day 1: Commencement

First day on Blogspot, super stoked!  My "About Me" section pretty much covers what is going to happen on this blog, so you can look forward to regular updates on here and my medical adventures.  As of right now, planning on enter medical school ~July 2014, which means I will be applying for medical school at the end of this upcoming school year.  I am a currently a junior, as of the 2012-2013 school year at Seattle University, studying Biology as a pre-med student.
As of now, I currently don't have any plans as to which medical school I would like to attend, but I shall get that sorted out soon enough.  Trying to get as much as I can done as an undergrad, as well as getting exposure to the medical community to gain experience through that as well, since I begin applying for medical school next year.  MCAT is projected to be taken in January 2013, right after I study during Winter break.
Let me know if there is anything else you want to know, and I'll try and update my blog as quickly as I can!!!
